Jason and I recently had one of the most amazing experiences, hiking the Grand Canyon! The trip was a Rowley family vacation and we hiked from the North Rim to the South Rim as a celebration of Gail's birthday. The entire hike was 26 miles and we completed it in three days, with one of the days spent at phantom ranch in the very bottom. We left both mornings to enter and leave the canyon at 2am to avoid the heat, and thank goodness we did because the temperatures were record high! It actually reached 130 degrees at the bottom the day we hiked in (112 in the shade)!! Aside from the temps, the trip was extremely memorable and full of the most beautiful landscape we have ever scene, complete visual poetry! In addition to the actual hike we spent a few days relaxing and living it up in Las Vegas....it was the perfect end to a most perfect adventure!
Just a place to check out how we are doing and what is new in our life!
