Ladies and Gentlemen We Have a WALKER!!

So it is official, at 9 1/2 months little Ms. Busy decided to put one foot in front of the other and take her first step, followed by many steps, and then the official title of walking.  It was truly a surreal moment.  You hear from everyone about the idealistic moment when your child takes their "first step." Jason and I were so fortunate to be together with her when it happened!  We literally waited for fireworks to go off, and a choir to sing in unison to her magnificent steps...(that is how excited we were.)  And then it was all followed by a humbling moment knowing it was just the three of us, in our little world, but just as important and exciting all the same!  While walking is HUGE, there were so many milestones this month that were our favorites!  Most importantly our Emmalee is becoming the most loving, caring, giving, fun and smart little baby girl!  She is a snuggler, loves to give kisses, which mamma LOVES, and has proven herself to be quite the athlete,(uh walking!!!)!  She is super tough and really only cries when she is really hurt, which unfortunately happens more often with her gained mobility!  This month Emmalee also started talking more, saying words more clearly and being able to identify lot's of new and exciting things.  She is able to communicate so much more clearly with us, making it clear what she wants, likes, or dislikes.  Of all the months so far, this has definitly produced the most change and the most fun.....but it all comes with a price.  While we could not be happier, we do find it bittersweet knowing that each day that passes brings our little girl closer to growing up!  It goes fast, but we are determined to enjoy EVERY SINGLE STEP of it along the way!

THIS MONTH FAVORITE MOMENTS:

-Emmalee's baptism!  We were so proud of our little one when she was baptized at my childhood church St. Joseph Parish in Issaquah.  She was a little trooper being in front of the whole congregation and loved every minute of us celebrating HER!  She is also blessed to have two amazing godparents, her aunt Amy Jo and uncle Steve.

-Walking
-Finger food....LOVES avocado pieces and banana!  Honestly, was as excited for this one as walking! Such an amazing thing to see her EAT food on her own like a little person! She is an AMAZING eater.
-Loves to point at everything!  Sometimes I don't think she knows what she is pointing at, or mom and dad are just clueless.
-Is a pro at calling out and pointing at her "ba ba ba"
-Loves books so much we are thinking about getting her a kindle for Christmas! ; )
-Uses laundry baskets to push around the house.  This helped her learn to walk, now she likes to just use them to transport her favorite toys.
-She also likes to crawl into everything!  Including her toy box and our basket of fresh laundry!
-Is increasingly in love with dancing.
-Is a huge snuggler and continues to be the best sleeper EVER!
-Had her first real cold.  Both myself and Emmalee were sick together, and literally spent time cuddling on the couch getting better.
-Loves to hum and drum her fingers on her lips.  This one is awesome because she does it at just every moment of the day.  While she eats, in the car, going to sleep, in front of the whole Catholic church during her baptismal blessing, (priceless).
-First Halloween!  The ladybug had fun trick-or-treating with her nieces, until she swallowed a leaf and threw up on dad.
