Ms. Personality

Emmalee has many nick names, Em, M n' M, Emerson, Emma, MJ, but this month, she has been coined Ms. Personality in our book.  Among MANY MANY firsts, Emmalee is truly just a cool baby.  She is so happy, fun, and oh so active.  She really is a blessing and we are so thankful everyday for such an easygoing, loving, and happy baby girl.  This month Emmalee rolled over for the first time, both directions, and now we can not keep her in one place!  It makes me nervous because she insists on sleeping on her side or her tummy, regardless of the fact that her feet and hands are held captive between the rails.  Another first was her first full blown laugh.  I have never heard something so pure and full of joy, it of course made me cry.  We still can not believe how fast this time has gone, today I noticed her once wearable comfy pants are appropriately seasoned as capris because she has grown so much.  Most special to me however is the time I get being home with my little girl and those moments when she just looks at Jason and I.  She is so observant and content just looking and watching us, makes me wonder what she is thinking!

One other big event this month was her post birth baby shower, thrown by my lovely sister Amy Jo and fantastic god- mother Andrea.  The whole shower was amazing and so lovely!  I can not thank them enough, the room brimmed with love, and we are so thankful for all the friends and family who came to welcome Emmalee Jaye!

Now, summer is almost upon us, and we are looking forward to all the new events to come!

FAVORITE MEMORIES:

- Her laugh....unbelievable! Wish I could bottle it!
-Grabbing everything and putting it in her mouth....literally EVERYTHING!!!
-Her favorite new toy, her teething ring.  The best is when it flips up and gets stuck on her nose.
-New love, BATH TIME and her rubber ducky.
-Rolling over, and over, and over again = )...so bitter sweet.
-Sleeping through the night--such a treat!  Does not happen every night,  but when it does, it is amazing.
-My first Mothers Day...so special and made amazing by my wonderful husband and lovely little daughter.
-We swear she says "Hi" and "Mama"...even though they are just her sounds, the sound pretty darn close to the real deal.
-Touching broccoli, she had the most disgusted face I have ever seen and stuck her tongue out as if to say "NO WAY"
- Dancing!  Emmalee loves to lay on the floor and watch others dance and join in on the fun....she gets SO excited and I must say she has some stellar moves!
