Ummm...Emmalee...Your Crawling!!!???!!!

At 7 months old, Emmalee has wowwed us this month with some HUGE accomplishments!  First off, our little busy bee is a crawler!  At 6 and a 1/2 months little miss decided she could not wait a minute longer and was done with staying on one place.  At first we were prouder than proud, "CRAWLING AT 6 months!" , I cried of course, and Jason beamed with joy.  Then a couple days later we realized the challenges of crawling, for Emmalee, and US!  She is EVERYWHERE!!  I think I am getting more exercise than she is, chasing her all over the place.  Some of my most used new vocabulary:

-"Emmalee?  Emmalee?  Emmalee?  NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
-"You don't want to do that Emm...it will hurt."
-"Yucky!!  Don't eat that!"
-"What are you doing?  Where are you going? Why?"
-"Emmalee, come to mamma, go to dadda." (note-she usually comes half way, and gets side tracked by something more exciting, like the couch.)
-Just a minute Emmalee, just one minute, please wait one minute!"

Don't get me wrong, it is a magical time, and one we are LOVING!  But holy cow, is it a a whole new world.  Emmalee has definitly proved to be an all around explorer, much like her daddy, and loves to climb, climb, climb, and stand herself up.  We are taking bets on when she will be walking! Another new first this month for Emmalee was eating in her high chair!  As much as I loved holding her to eat her baby food, she was not having it, and honestly, neither was our carpet!  She really enjoys her high chair because now she is at our level and can eat with us.  Again, it was bitter sweet....seeing such a tiny little girl in a chair made me reflect on how time fast has gone...again!!!

This month we had a lot of summer fun! We went to Chelan, again :)!! Paradise in WA!  Jason went to Utah for the Outdoor Retailer convention, and we missed him desperately!  We hit up our local North Bend days, Snoqualmie Days and went to a few farmers markets, ( so many fun gatherings that come with "small town" living), we had a sleep over with the nieces, saw King Tut, went on some outdoor adventures, and much more much more! We love these summer days and love spending them with our little peanut!


THIS MONTHS FAVORITE MOMENTS:

-Duh...CRAWLING!

-Pulling herself up, she is ridiculously strong!

-Going in the baby pool at Chelan, she LOVED kicking the warm water....she did not take too well to the cool temp. of the lake ; )!

-Evading a stalking Cougar

 -Favorite toys this month are the floor, (a whole new world), and her new puppets care of the Carey's, via her uncle Steve! Got to love hand me down toys!  She LOVES Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Big Bird, but she especially loves to eat their eye balls.
