EIGHT IS GREAT!

Yep, it sure is!  In Emmalee's 8th month of life, she partook in some amazing activities, had some outstanding accomplishments, and most importantly made mom and dad smile constantly.  We were lucky enough to spend a wonderful weekend of summer in Leavenworth with a group of our closest friends, and I must say it was eventful!  Bear watching, cribbage, an overflowing septic tank....pure heaven ; )!! Seriously  a great time, and we were so blown away by Emmalee's ability to adapt.  Despite late nights and loud music she napped and slept like a champ. We are blessed!  We also were able to take a family vacation, just the three of us, to Chelan for a four day weekend.  We had a blast with swimming in the baby pool, walking around town, stand up paddle boarding, (which Emmalee desperately wanted in on), and lot's of quality time with one another. It was a GREAT way to wrap up the summer months.

New in Emmalee's world this month was a strong and serious attempt to talk, lot's of "babababa" and mimicking.  Before we know it she will be telling us what she wants, likes, and does not like, which will be crazy.  She has thrown out some mammas and daddas, but nothing consistent   She is however staying true to her adventurer self and becoming very brave with her climbing and exploring, which we LOVE, and worry about too!  Baby proofing here we come! Oh, and let's not forget her first winter jacket was purchased this month, on her actual 8 month birthday to be exact! She will be perfect in tow with mom and dad for the snow filled winter months!  Lets just hope she loves it as much as we do!
